Science is organized knowledge. Wisdom is organized life.

If, as Kant suggests, science is organized knowledge, then qualitative researchers have a special challenge because of the nebulous nature of their raw data. Coherent strategies are required to produce scientific results from free-form data such as open ended interviews, field observations, pictures, artifacts, and other hard to quantify qualitative information. The science of qualitative research depends on the intelligent organization and analysis of rich and complex qualitative data.
